The Aetna Health app can help. From finding a doctor and comparing costs to paying claims and viewing your ID card, the app is your all-in-one resource for the information you need. Please note: the new Aetna Health app will replace Aetna Mobile, so remember to download the new app.
If a time comes when you’re dealing with more complex health challenges, you can be assigned a nurse to work with you over the phone on an ongoing basis. Or if you have an ongoing health concern like diabetes, heart disease, asthma and low back pain, your nurse may call to check in from time to time. These services are included as part of your plan.
You may also get a letter or phone call from us, depending on your needs. Don’t forget, your caller ID may not say Aetna when we call. That depends on your phone carrier.

As part of NYP's commitment to helping employees improve and maintain their health, NYPBeHealthy encourages NYP employees to get a snapshot of their overall wellbeing by completing an annual wellbeing assessment and biometric screening.
A biometric screening is a short health exam that includes height, weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, and blood pressure. The exam also includes bloodwork to measure blood sugar (hemoglobin A1c), cholesterol (total, HDL, LDL), and lipids (triglycerides). To complete your biometric screening, you have the option of:
Completing your bloodwork with your primary care doctor and filling out a Physician Results Form. For more detailed instructions, click here.
The wellbeing assessment (WBA) is a brief online questionnaire that takes a realistic look at your lifestyle – taking into account physical, emotional, environmental, and stress factors – so you can get a better picture of your overall health. NYP's wellbeing assessment is available through the Virgin Pulse wellness site or app. You may want to consider completing your biometric screening before the WBA so you can input your values into the assessment. Click here for more detailed instructions on how to register for Virgin Pulse.
NYP employees who complete both a biometric screening through Quest and WBA through Virgin Pulse by December 31, 2020 will receive 2,000 NYP Everyday Amazing points.
